The GSC Power-Division Conical Valve Spring Kit with Ti Retainer for the Toyota G16E-GTS for the GR Yaris and Corolla includes 12 titanium retainers (6 Intake and 6 Exhaust) and 12 Conical valve springs and 12 new Spring Seats.

True conical valve springs aren’t a new concept—they’ve been proven in the industry to offer several key advantages over traditional spring designs. One of the biggest benefits of conical springs compared to traditional cylindrical or beehive springs is their ability to dampen and eliminate valvetrain harmonics. Out of the three designs, conical springs lead the way in maintaining valvetrain harmonic stability.

Thanks to their varying coil diameter and spacing, conical springs act as natural harmonic dampers, absorbing the shock in the valvetrain. This means less stress, less wear, and a longer life for your engine components. This level of protection is essential for today’s engines, which are being pushed to their physical and mechanical limits.

Every GSC conical spring undergoes a super-finished surface treatment in addition to a patented, multi-step heat treatment process. The result? A super reliable, high-performance spring that lets you push higher RPMs and use more aggressive cam profiles with confidence.

If you’re looking to get the most out of your engine, GSC conical springs are the way to go. They’re built to perform, engineered to last, and designed to let you take your engine to the next level.

SPRING KITS

Valve spring performance is critical to engine durability, RPM capability, and valvetrain control. GSC Power-Division spring kits are engineered to provide the stability required for aggressive cam profiles, elevated boost levels, extended RPM ranges, and demanding racing environments.

Our spring systems are developed with careful attention to harmonics, installed loads, open pressures, coil dynamics, retainer compatibility, and long-term durability. Many GSC applications utilize advanced conical spring technology to improve damping characteristics, reduce harmonics, minimize spring stress, and maintain superior valve control at elevated engine speeds. The result is increased confidence when pushing horsepower, RPM, and boost beyond conventional limits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I upgrade my valve springs?

OpenClose
Upgraded valve springs provide greater valve control at high RPM, higher boost pressures, and with more aggressive camshaft profiles. This helps prevent valve float and improves reliability.

What are the benefits of conical valve springs?

OpenClose
Conical valve springs offer reduced retainer mass, improved natural frequency, greater stability, and improved high-RPM performance compared to traditional cylindrical springs or beehive springs.

Do your spring kits include retainers?

OpenClose
Many GSC spring kits include titanium retainers. Refer to individual product descriptions for complete kit contents.

Can I reuse my factory retainers?

OpenClose
Only if specifically stated. Most performance applications should utilize the retainers recommended for the spring package.
